In April 2018, the hotel underwent a significant revamp under the management of the 100 Burgers Group, known for venues like Welcome to Thornbury and Hightail. This renovation modernized the space while preserving its historic charm.
The Prince Alfred Hotel offers a variety of classic pub fare, including burgers and parmas, complemented by a selection of craft beers, wines, and cocktails. A notable feature is the Bright Rooftop Bar, providing patrons with a relaxed atmosphere and scenic views.
In March 2025, Bright Brewery, based in Victoria's High Country, acquired the Prince Alfred Hotel. This acquisition allows Bright Brewery to bring its award-winning beers to Melbourne, integrating them into the hotel's offerings while maintaining its legacy as a beloved community pub.
