It is a is a heritage-listed establishment with a rich history dating back to its construction in 1898.
Designed by architect Talbot Hobbs in the Federation Filigree style, the hotel features distinctive tuck-pointed brickwork, a corrugated iron roof concealed behind a parapet, and ornamental cast-iron verandas and balconies.
Over the years, the Windsor Hotel has undergone several renovations, including significant works in 1962, 1965, 1970, the 1980s, and 1991, to maintain its historical charm while offering modern amenities.
Today, it boasts multiple bars, such as the Mends St Bar and Black Pearl Bar, as well as the Charthouse Restaurant, which serves lunch and dinner.
The hotel also features Ogden's Brewery and a drive-thru bottleshop, Windsor Cellars.
