The Royal Hotel is located at 287 Punt Road, Richmond VIC 3121 and was originally established in 1848, making it one of Melbourne’s oldest licensed pubs.
It is well known as Melbourne's only public bar offering topless barmaids and erotic entertainment, creating an adult-only environment.
Positioned opposite major sporting venues (MCG and AAMI Park), it’s often frequented before sporting events. It is also notable as the site where the Richmond Football Club was officially formed in 1885.
Daily shows feature topless barmaids and erotic performances, with show times varying throughout the week. For example:
- Monday & Tuesday: topless barmaids from 3 pm
- Wednesday–Sunday: full-day erotic entertainment starting from early afternoon.
The venue maintains a playful, adult-focused, and vibrant atmosphere. It is not family-friendly, and children are not permitted due to the explicit nature of the entertainment.
