Located at the rear of Maldon Takeaway on Main Street, this new venue is the brainchild of local proprietors Melitta Lee and Adam Isaacs. Their vision is to create a space where you can enjoy late-night dining, drinks, and live entertainment in a relaxed and welcoming atmosphere.
- Late-Night Dining: Addressing the lack of late-night food options in Maldon, the Blue Cockatoo serves pizza and a limited bar menu on Thursday, Friday, Saturday, and Sunday nights during summer, staying open after the takeaway shop closes.
- Cocktail Lounge Ambience: Transforming the back section of the takeaway shop, the lounge offer a cozy setting for guests to unwind, enjoy a drink, and socialise.
- Live Music & Karaoke: Inspired by the owners' jam sessions, the venue feature live music performances and karaoke nights, fostering a community-centric entertainment hub.
- Unique Name: The name "Blue Cockatoo" pays homage to the owners' three pet birds, including a blue macaw, adding a personal and distinctive touch to the establishment
