Sportsman Hotel, famously known as “Sporties”, is located in Spring Hill, Brisbane. The Sportsman Hotel is Brisbane’s only fully gay-owned and operated hotel, affectionately called Sporties.
Established in 1989, it serves as a cornerstone for Brisbane’s LGBTIQA+ nightlife and community.
Offers a bar, cafe, bistro, & restaurant serving counter lunches, dinner specials, burgers, pizzas, snacks, and cocktails.
Popular for its vibrant drag shows, karaoke nights, dance events (especially downstairs in The Mineshaft or Bunker Bar), with recurring themed parties including bear and underwear nights.
Upper floors offer budget-friendly guest rooms,modest but convenient, especially if you want to stay at the same venue where the nightlife happens.
