Rudd’s Pub, is a heritage gem on the Darling Downs in Queensland, located approximately 35?km south of Toowoomba in the small township of Nobby.
It is named in honour of Steele Rudd, the famed author of the Dad and Dave stories.
The interior is a living museum: walls and ceiling are covered with local memorabilia, including farm tools, photographs, vintage signs, books, and one of the first editions of On Our Selection (1899). Many visitors equate dining here to “eating in a museum”.
What it offers
- The pub serves home-cooked meals daily with a menu of over 50 options. from breakfast to dinner, including specialties like lamb shanks and the “Dad’s Mighty Mixed Grill” or “Dave’s Terrific T?Bone”.
- Offers a full bar, beer garden, four gaming machines, Keno, and a function area for events like weddings or group gatherings.
