Mount Surprise is a small town in Far North Queensland, Australia. It is located on the Gulf of Carpentaria, about 200 km south of Cairns. The town is known for its rich history and culture, and is home to a number of important landmarks, including the historic Mount Surprise Hotel, the Mount Surprise War Memorial, and the Mount Surprise Railway Station.
