Longreach is a town in Central West Queensland, Australia. It is the administrative centre of the Longreach Region. The town is located on the banks of the Thomson River, 726 kilometres (451 mi) from the coast, and is the largest town in the area. The most important landmarks in Longreach are the Qantas Founders Museum, the Australian Stockman's Hall of Fame, and the Longreach Powerhouse Museum.
