About Royal Mail Hotel Goodna
Located just around 20?km west of Brisbane city. Founded in the 1840s, the Royal Mail Hotel began as a Cobb & Co. coaching stop between Brisbane and Ipswich.
Since 1986, the Royal Mail Hotel has championed the blues and roots music scene, making it a long-standing regional hub for live performances.
It's the only venue in Australia to receive the International “Keeping the Blues Alive” Award from the Blues Foundation in Memphis, Tennessee.
Regular events include the Royal Mail Jam every Thursday from 3:31 2 and the BASEQ (Blues Association of SE QLD) Jam on the last Sunday month from 1–1 2.
It is a charming two?storey timber pub with shaded verandahs and a relaxed beer garden nestled under a fig tree.
It has a warm wooden décor, a welcoming bar area, a pool table, and ample space to enjoy music and company.
Offers classic pub meals, burgers, pizzas, fish & chips, with weekly specials from Wednesday to Saturday. Takeaway is also available.
If you love live blues or folk music, aim for Saturday afternoons/evenings or Thursday jam sessions, then this pub is for you.
