It is a historic and lively pub located in central Bundaberg, QLD. Nestled on the corner of Quay & Tantitha Streets, overlooking the Burnett River in Bundaberg CBD, is a prime spot for locals and visitors.
Originally the Custom House Hotel opened circa 1870 on one of Bundaberg’s earliest land allotments by John?Foley, it was rebuilt in 1915–1918 after a fire and renamed the “Hotel Bundaberg.”
The current name, Old Bundy Tavern, was adopted following major renovations starting in 1991.
The building spans multiple zones: a modern bistro with themed areas.
- Sophie's Lounge, Irish vibe, family-friendly kids' room, seating capacity 130.
- A sports bar with TAB and pool, a “Hideaway Lounge.”
- A gaming room with pokies, TAB, Keno, and racing on screens.
Bistro serves pub classics, parmesan, steaks, share plates, fresh seafood, pasta and salads with local produce (e.g., meat from The Beef Brothers).
