BROKEN HILL, NSW
Broken Hill
Broken Hill is a city in the far west of New South Wales. It is the largest city in the outback and is known for its mining and art. The most important landmarks in the city are the Line of Lode, the Silver City Mint and Art Gallery, and the Living Desert Sculptures. There are no casinos in the city, but there are several RSL clubs, a legion club, a bowling club, and sports bars and licenced pubs with poker machines, keno and TAB.
The total amount of pokies in the city is limited by local regulations. The Broken Hill RSL Club has 20 poker machines, the Broken Hill Bowling Club has 10, and the Broken Hill Hotel has 15. For a great meal, the best bistros in the city are the Silver City Bistro, the Broken Hill Hotel, and the Broken Hill RSL Club.
