Poker Zone at Adelaide Casino
Adelaide Casino features an exciting Poker Zone, regarded as one of Australia’s premier poker room venues. The Poker Zone attracts local, interstate, and overseas players to cash games and a range of Australia’s most captivating tournaments. When you enter the casino, you will find the Poker Zone located on the northwestern corner of level 1.
Poker Zone Games
You may join in on the action from as little as $50, Tuesday - Saturday nights.
The games held most often are:
- $2/$2 Blinds No Limit Hold'em, buy-in range $50-$300
- $1/$2 Blinds, Pot Limit Omaha, buy-in range $100-$300
- $2/$5 Blinds, No-Limit Hold'em, buy-in range $150-$500
- $5/10 Blinds, No Limit Hold'em, buy-in range $400-$2000 (first Saturday night of each month)
The Poker Zone offers two ways of playing poker – tournaments and ‘cash’ or ‘ring’ games. The basic difference between the two is that players can leave a cash game at any time, but they must play a tournament out to a conclusion to win a prize. Tournaments take place in the Poker Zone every week, with buy-ins starting at $200. Registration for all poker tournaments is available through the Poker Zone Cashier, located next to the Poker Zone on Level 1. Adelaide Casino’s Poker Zone offers players a weekly tournament each Tuesday night (excluding public holidays).
Buy-in is $200, including a $35 Adelaide Casino Fee. The starting stack is 30,000 tournament chips with 20-minute levels and a guaranteed prize pool of $10,000. An early entry bonus of 5,000 tournament chips was added to the starting stack. Early entry is available up until 6:30 pm on the night. The Poker Zone cashier opens for registration on Tuesday nights at 5:45 pm. Registration is in person via the Poker Zone.
Patrons wishing to participate in a tournament must be Premier Rewards members and present their Premier Rewards card when registering. Joining the Premier Rewards program is free and takes only a couple of minutes. A passport or a current Government-issued photographic ID is required when signing up. Entering tournaments is conditional upon players agreeing to Tournament Terms and Conditions, which can be found in the Poker Zone.
Cash games are played with chips that are redeemable for cash. You may put your name down for a cash game at the Poker Zone from thirty minutes before opening. You may join in straight away or be sent an SMS if they are on a waiting list.
Note that Adelaide has 9 poker tables spread across one poker room.
Opening Hours are Tuesday through Thursday, 7 pm – 2:45 am, and Friday through Saturday, 7 pm – 3:45 am.
