The Anglers Tavern is a historic riverside pub located at 2 Raleigh Road, Maribyrnong, VIC 3032.

Established around 1870, it has been a beloved fixture in Melbourne's west for over 150 years. After a 21-month closure due to the 2022 floods, the tavern reopened in July 2024 with extensive renovations, blending its rich history with modern amenities.

What it offers:

• Situated along the scenic Maribyrnong River, offering picturesque views from its beer garden and outdoor decks.
• A refreshed bistro, sports bar with supersized screens, and a sprawling beer garden equipped with astro turf, market umbrellas, and picnic tables.
• The Kids Quarters includes an outdoor playground, interactive scrabble wall, iPad station, bikes and trikes, giant noughts and crosses, and a reading room, making it ideal for families.
• Level one has been transformed into a flexible events area with stunning river views, suitable for various occasions.

The tavern offers a diverse menu featuring:

• Pub Classics & Share Plates: Woodfired flatbread with house-made dips, crispy chicken tenders with chilli BBQ sauce, and more.
• Seafood Specialties: Signature dishes like the Prawn Roll and the Anglers Seafood Tower, comprising salt & pepper squid, baked green lip mussels, natural oysters, chilled tiger prawns, blue swimmer crab, beer-battered fish, chips, and salad.
• Desserts: A giant soft-serve wall offering $5 cones with various toppings and sauces.

• Trivia Night: Every Wednesday at 7:30 PM, with $1 from every Parma sold donated to Food Bank Victoria.
