The Cairns Surf Life Saving Club, established in 1924, offers fun, fitness, and friendship for the whole family. Their supporters' club, known as the Surf Club Palm Cove, provides dining and event facilities.

The club has a rich history of patrolling the northern beaches of Cairns. Initially overseeing the Cairns Esplanade, the club relocated to Yorkey's Knob before settling at its current Palm Cove location in 1953.
The club offers a variety of programs catering to different age groups:

• Nippers: Designed for children aged 5 to 13, this program introduces young members to surf life-saving skills, promoting fun, fitness, and friendship.
• Senior and Masters Programs: For members over 30, these programs focus on advanced life-saving techniques, competition, and community engagement

Membership fees are structured to accommodate various categories, ensuring accessibility for individuals and families.

In March 2025, the club celebrated a significant upgrade with the inauguration of a new accessible toilet and shower block. This development replaced an outdated facility, enhancing comfort for members and visitors and demonstrating the club's commitment to inclusivity.

The Cove:

Guests can enjoy meals on the outdoor deck overlooking Palm Cove beach and Double Island or within the air-conditioned indoor dining area.

The club provides facilities suitable for various events, from casual gatherings to formal functions.
