Bronte is a beachside suburb of Sydney, located 7 kilometres east of the Sydney central business district. It is part of the Eastern Suburbs region. The most notable landmark is Bronte Beach, a popular spot for swimming, surfing and sunbathing. There are no casinos in the area, however there are several RSL clubs, bowling clubs and licenced pubs with poker machines, keno and tab. The total amount of pokies in the area is limited by local regulations. The Bronte RSL Club has 10 poker machines, the Bronte Bowling Club has 8 and the Bronte Beach Hotel has 15.
