The Bairs Otago Hotel is a historic and locally cherished establishment located at 18 Bair Street, Leongatha, VIC 3953, in the heart of South Gippsland. Established as Bair’s Coffee House in 1890, it was renamed the Otago Hotel in 1891 and rebuilt in 1939 after a fire.
The current building, designed by Trevor C. McCullough, showcases a blend of Art Deco and Streamline Moderne architectural styles.
The hotel's bar and bistro are renowned for serving more than just typical pub fare.
Their signature chicken parmigiana is considered one of the best in Victoria. The venue also offers a comfortable outdoor beer garden, full TAB and Keno facilities, and regularly televises live AFL and NRL games.
Bairs Otago Hotel provides affordable, fully renovated rooms, ideal for travellers exploring the region. Room options include double rooms (twin share) starting from $75 per night. No rooms have en suites, but guests can utilise the shared living area to mingle with locals and other travellers.
