Thinking of March 28th 2015 Saturday time 8.30 pm-9.30 pm an event for you to show that you care for your planet. Before this global event where millions of people are going to switch off the lights together for an hour it is up to you to celebrate this precious hour in manner of your choice. Plan a dinner party with friends or families; candle light drinks and meals; playing skills discussion over the brew; or simply have fun.
Few Facts
·Earth hour started in Australia in 2007 as a campaign of WWF. 2.2 million people and 2100 businesses turning off their lights to show support to mother earth and to tackle global warming.
·In Australia over 1.5 million households have already made the switch to renewable energy, like solar or GreenPower. These households can also show their support by letting people know they have joined Australia’s clean energy future at earthhour.org.au.
·This year, Earth Hour Australia is celebrating Australia’s wonderful fresh produce highlighting the need to solve global warming. Aussie farmers are on the frontline of rising temperatures and more extreme weather - and 93% of the food is locally grown.
·By switching to alternatives like solar and wind, we can cut carbon pollution and help protect the fresh food and farming communities that make our Aussie lifestyle so great.
·Over the past eight years, Earth Hour globally was celebrated in 7,000 cities in 163 countries.
·World's largest party plan candle company, PartyLite, whose products are available in the United States, Canada and 21 other countries, will also show its support of Earth Hour 2015 by donating one dollar to the World Wildlife Fund for everyPartyLite candle sold between March 27-29th 2015
·PartyLite will create a photo album from the posted photos and show total number of lit candles too.
